Audio-Technica

Hideo Matsushita established Audio-Technica in 1962 with the sole aim of making high-quality audio accessible to all. Initially developing phono cartridges from his small Shinjuku apartment, his early success led him to open a larger headquarters in Machida, where the company still operates today.

Building on a passion for listening, Audio-Technica expanded into many industries and has designed critically acclaimed headphones, microphones, cartridges and turntables, all while remaining a family-run business.

Audio-Technica believes that sound should be natural and strives to reproduce true, accurate, representations of audio. Refined analogue transducer technology is at the heart of products that transcend everyday sensory experiences; heightening our sensibilities. The quest to create pure, natural, audio is perpetual - it never stops, never ends.

Today, Audio-Technica headphones and microphone solutions are used across the globe in a wide variety of applications, from live concert tours and recording studios to theatres, educational facilities, corporate installations, houses of worship, and high-profile global broadcasts.
